The History of ShorinjiKempo

Shorinji Kempo is a relatively modern martial art that was started in Japan shortly after the Second World War by Doshin So. It gained in popularity throughout the years that followed and today it is practiced in many contries worldwide. The same techniques are taught in the same manner the world over, making the art very pure. There are regular meetings - taikai - at local, national and international levels, the biggest of which are held every four years in Japan and at other locations around the world.
